Pool, Sauna and Steam Rooms
You will find Jesmond Pool offers more public swimming times than any other in the area, and features lane swimming, consistent early morning and late evening swimming, 30 degrees C water temperature, full access for people with disabilities, magnificent glass fronted poolside sauna and steam rooms that overlook the pool hall.
The Sauna and Steam are mixed and costumes should be worn at all times.
Please note due to the pool-side location of the steam and sauna, this facility can only be used during public swimming times.
Another unique feature of the pool is the lack of the usual problems you find in pools treated with conventional chlorine bearing agents. Jesmond has installed the latest Ultra Violet treatment system which ensures fresher water without the smells and problems some people find as there are significantly fewer chemicals in the water.

Fitness Suite
Activities for the young & not so young. From self motivated sessions in the gym to instructor lead classes, we're sure you'll find something to suit.
The room is well furnished with state of the art fitness equipment, 30 stations including treadmills, cross trainers and bikes, resistance equipment, and some free weights. The room is air conditioned and has an entertainment system.
We aim to make our classes as fun as possible and the fitness suitee has a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We encourage everyone to join in, so whether you have the latest fashion gym wear or a favourite baggy t-shirt that covers all, we're sure you'll feel at home.

Activity Room
This room is used for many activities, including : Aerobics, dance, yoga, pilates, table tennis, meetings, circuits, body toning, holistic treatments, spinning, boxercise, martial arts, tai chi and many others.
The room has a sprung floor, is air conditioned and has a roomy comfortable feel about it. Whether being used for a childrens party with a bouncy castle and soft play, or hosting an action packed fitness class.
