Private lessons are strictly one to one and are available for children from 3 years of age from non-swimmer up to Improver Level. Stroke improvement & more advanced lessons can be arranged but are limited to 4 lessons then it is recommended the pupil attends group lessons.
Private lessons cost £13.00 per half hour lesson.
Adult private lessons are available for any ability level from building water confidence to stroke improvement.
All teachers are Amateur Swimming Association qualified
Lessons take place during general public swimming times.
There may be a waiting list, which can be up to 12 weeks. If a particular teacher or time is specified then you may wait longer for a place. Jesmond Pool will contact you when a suitable vacancy is available.
Lessons are paid for at reception on arrival and the next lesson booked at that time.
If a child or adult wishes to swim before or after a private lesson, the swim must be paid for.
Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
In the event of a cancellation at least 4 hours notice is required or a £9.00 cancellation fee will be charged. In the event of 3 successive cancellations, the lessons will cease.
Should the regular teacher be absent another teacher may be provided to cover the lesson.
Children are encouraged to join our group lessons when they reach Improver level and places are available. Alternatively, children of the required standard may join Jesmond Dolphins
